BITS Pilani invites applications for faculty positions

BITS Pilani offers from its campuses in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai, formal education & research programmes in Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy, Social Sciences and Management. Through its Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP), BITS also offers continuing technical education for working professionals leading to degrees in Software Engineering & Systems, Manufacturing Engineering & Management, Engineering Technology, Microelectronics, Power Engineering, and Process Engineering.
 
With a view to establish itself as one of India's (and Asia's) top research-led technical universities, BITS has embarked upon an aggressive plan to expand its PG, Ph.D. and applied research programmes, while consolidating its UG programmes.

Candidates with a recent Ph.D. in respective discipline will be considered for appointment as Assistant Professor, while those with post-PhD experience of 6 years or more may be considered for higher positions.
 
Candidates who only have ME in Engineering, and are interested in pursuing a Ph.D., will be considered for appointment as Lecturer for up to six years to enable them to contribute to teaching while pursuing a Ph.D. degree. Other details are available at BITS website.

Faculty Positions Off Campus

BITS Pilani also invites academics and experienced industry professionals with an outstanding academic background to pursue an academic career as faculty members to teach in off-campus WILP programmes & mentor on-campus students undergoing Practice School in industry at Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi (NCR), Mumbai.

ME degree holders will be considered for appointment as Lecturers. Candidates with adequate relevant work experience, and/or holding PhD, will be considered for appointment as Assistant/Associate Professor.
 
Those who have completed M.Sc. in Maths or Physics, but wish to pursue a career in Software Engg./Computer Sc., will be considered for appointment as Instructors.

Guest Faculty: Opportunities are also available for suitably qualified professionals, especially from industry with to teach in these programmes on a part-time basis during evenings or weekends. Along with suitable honorarium, such an engagement will provide opportunity to interact with our regular faculty, and participate in curriculum/content development.
