The Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC) is promoting a new University initially with Technical and Management Schools. Its aim is to augment technical knowhow and promote research & innovation. The University would have world class academic and infrastructure facilities.

GSFC is looking for a

Director General/Director
Who could nurture the University as a state-of-the-art centre of learning in engineering and management disciplines. The new University would function under the aegis of GSFC Education Society, an autonomous body, constituted for the purpose. A Letter of Intent (LOI) has been issued by the Government of Gujarat for establishment of an autonomous University-'USFC University' under Gujarat Private University Act, 2009.

University Goals
The University would offer degree engineering courses in the disciplines of Mechanical, Civil, Chemical & Electrical engineering and Environment Sciences besides post-graduate and research opportunities. There would be a school of management offering degrees at post graduate and research levels in relevant fields. Also proposed are management development centre for working executives and School of Liberal Arts, Linguistics, Political Sciences etc.

Location
The University is being located at Jasper, Taluka Padra on the outskirts of city of Vadodara.

Job Profile
The selected candidate would be fully in-charge of academic and administrative functions of the University. He/She would report to the Governing Body of the University. Since it is a new University, the job inter alia would also involve recruitment of faculty, developing of curriculum, etc. The remuneration is negotiable and will not be a constrain for an outstanding candidate,

Qualification: The applicant should have a First Class Bachelors & Masters Degrees in engineering with Doctorate (PhD) from a renowned technical institute along with experience in academic administration, placements and international relations.

Experience: The candidate must have a minimum of twenty years of teaching and/or research and/or industry experience with at least ten years at Professorial level. He/She should have published peer reviewed research papers at national & international levels. The upper age limit is 60 years.
