Globacom Limited is a leading privately owned multinational telecommunications company with Headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. It is Nigeria's Second National Operator with licence covering GSM, Fixed, Broadband, Gateway services and an international high capacity submarine cable business, known as Glo1. Globacom Limited is a fast growing telecommunications company with over twenty-five million GSM subscribers in Nigeria and with Glo Mobile subsidiaries in the Republic of Benin and Ghana. It has acquired licence for Glo 1 in some other West African countries.

In its quest to further strengthen its operations and consolidated its position as a market leader, the Company desires to recruit highly competent, talented and self-motivated individuals to fill the following senior executive and consultant positions in the Company:

Special Adviser to the Board on Telecommunications
(REF: SATL)

• Experience in telecommunications marketing, sales or technical planning/ operations.
• People management experience, including proven ability to identify and develop talents.

Responsibilities:

• Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Advising the Board on the Company's potential long and short term growth strategies.
• Continuously seeking market opportunities, conditions and associated business developments.
• Advising on strategic direction and partnering with the company management for the overall operations of various units to achieve the Organisation’s business plans.
• Participating in motivating teams to achieve set targets.
• Assisting in embedding a professional approach to business processes and activities.

Skills:

• Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to handle the pressures of working in a dynamic and result oriented environment.

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Social Sciences or any other relevant field (But equivalent qualifications and relevant experience can override this). Relevant post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience: Minimum of 20 years significant hands-on technical and/ or commercial experience, preferably from telecommunications industry, ten (10) of which must have been spent in a senior management role.
