Head of ERP (SAP)

A leading manufacturer is looking for an

IT Manager
To run its IT operations across a number of countries and plants. He/She will be responsible for the day to day management of running the SAP and non-SAP systems across the company reporting to the CEO.

Ideal candidate must have:

• Demonstrable track record of career rapid progression in technical roles
• Stakeholder management consultation and selling skills
• Successful service management of business-critical IT system
• Proven experience of running an IT operational unit of 20+people
• Proven experience with Information Security
• Proven experience with Business Continuity
• At least three years in a SAP IT Manager experience, with a working knowledge of Solution Manager
• Hands on approach - happy to get involved on all levels
• Strong problem solving abilities

• Responsibility for the day to day operation of IT Infrastructure in the Group evaluating user needs and system functionality and ensuring that ICT facilities meet these needs
• Planning, developing and implementing the ICT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, to ensure cost effectiveness
• Provision of a cost efficient and proactive premier technical service both internally and externally
• Management of the Group Technical Services team split across multiple sites Proactively manage the Group's Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
• Provide relevant technical input to help determine the future direction of the company's software products
• Developing information security policies, procedures and strategies, ensuring that these comply both with organizational policies and standards and those of regulatory and legislative bodies
• Ensuring that information security strategies, policies and procedures are implemented appropriately: ensuring the security of data from internal and external attack
• Developing and supporting system security initiatives, assisting in identifying security issues and requirement
• To be pro-active, flexible and responsive in carrying out the role and instil the same ethos in the team, mentoring and training new ICT support staff
• Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems Researching and installing new systems
• Ensuring the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision
• Ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to
• Providing secure access to the network for remote users
• Providing users with appropriate support and advice
• Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware software problems
• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies

Location: Sri Lanka
