Job Opportunities in Zambia (Glass Works)

Kapiri Glass Manufacturing Co. (2008) Ltd, is a hollowware glassmanufacturer situated at Kapiri Mposhi, Zambia, Kapiri Mposhi is located in Central Province, 200 kilo meters north of Zambia's capital Lusaka. We are seeking suitably qualified personnel to fill up the positions indicated below. All the positions will attract competitive and negotiable remuneration including provision of free accommodation with free water and electricity. Personal-to-holder motor vehicles will be provided and therefore applicants should have valid driving licenses.

General Manager
The prospective employee should have in worked in a glass making plant at senior management level for a period of not less than three years, minimum age of 40 years and of good health. The candidate will be reporting to the Executive Chairperson. Duties and any other will be

• Responsible for day to day running of the plant
• Grow and maintain the customer base so as to achieve optimal sales volumes
• Achieve agreed performance targets set by the Board of Directors
• Grow share holder value of business
• in conjunction with the Human Resource Department employee qualified staff suitable for each position
• in liaison with the Human Resource develop training programs
• Develop a succession program at all senior levels
• Maintain efficiency of operation within the glass industry performance averages
• Obtain international standards accreditation of the plant
• Manage the manpower in such manager as to ensure industrial harmony
• Manager the plant in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia

Qualification: The candidate should posses a B.Sc. Degree in either Mechanical or Chemical Engineering obtained from an accredited university.
