Senior Engineering Manager
About the Role: This position reports to General Manager and the main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the high level of availability and reliability of all container Handling and Infrastructure Equipment

Key Accountabilities will include:

• To Manage the Engineering department staff at Aden Container Terminal and Ma’alla Container Terminal in an efficient and cost effective manner
• Ensure Engineering Department works in a sage and accident free environment.
• To ensure the terminals equipment is efficiently maintained and operates at peak levels of performance
• To monitor all expenditures within the approved budget
• To prepare and implement the Department’s maintenance plan in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• To ensure that spare parts and consumables ie, diesel fuel, lubricants, etc are purchased on a timely basis.
• To ensure that all spare parts and tools and equipment are property stored and controlled.
• To ensure adequate staff are recruited and trained to enable the department to function efficiently
• To minimize wastage and keep the operating cost of the department low.
• To ensure that the company’s rules and objectives are closely adhered to and implemented.
• Identify training requirements for staff and implement training programs to upgrade departmental skills.
• Provide Engineering Dept. Reports to Management of a timely basis

• In order to give credible support to the organization and be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualifications:
• Mechanical Engineering Degree & Above with 12-15 years of relevant experience.
• Technical Knowledge and skills in STS Cranes, RTGS and other container handloom equipment maintenance.
• Must be worked in container terminal for at least 3 years as headd of engineering department.
• Computer skill such as Excel, Words and Power point
• Strong Leadership qualities, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and manage around 80 staffs.
