Our Client is a strong Italian Group that provides integrated credit management solution including Credit Insurance, Investment Protection, Sureties and Financial Guarantees for Commercial and financial transactions, as well as offering arrangements for Project and Structured Finance. They are seeking to hire a new person that will cover the India subcontinent, within new operations to start soon in India.

Business Head (Mumbai)

The Role

• Assist Head Office with scouting projects located in India and provide information on Indian market trends as well as milestone economic/ financial/ geo-political events;
• Contribute to originate new transactions in diversified industrial sectors involving Italian companies
• Develop and enhance relationships with local and international counter parties (private sector, local authorities, public financial institutions, international and local banks, local representative of Italian companies. etc)
• Liaise with the business units responsible for the implementation of selected business transactions and provide support to Head Office as appropriate

The Person

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in business, economics, banking or finance
• At least 5 years customer relationship experience with major banks, corporate, insurers or institutional entitles operating in the Indian Market
• Excellent relationship with local and / or Indian corporates, banks and public institutions
• Profound knowledge of Indian business environment with specific reference to bank and insurance sector, as well as major industries and corporate
• In depth understanding of international trade and finance
• Superb communication and negotiation skills
• Strong initiative and entrepreneurial spirit, strategic vision
• Proven marketing and origination skills
• Solid organizational and planning aptitude, hands on and independently
• Results driven
• English: fluent, other foreign languages (eg: Italian) beneficial
