Under the guidance of the Programme Manager Patna Office responsible for technical support and facilitation State Government's policy analysis planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the national Rural Water Supply programme and Total Sanitation Campaign, School and Anganwadi Watsan programe as well as provision of technical assistance to focus districts. The jobholder is based in the Patna Field Office and works under the daily supervision of the Programme Manager. He/she works at both the States and District levels and also takes sector specific leadership and guidance from the WASH section in Delhi. Qualifications & Experience: Advanced university degree in any of the following: Environment Science, Hydrology or Environmental, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Public Health or a related field associated with water supply, sanitation and hygiene behavior change. Minimum five years progressively responsible professionals work experience in social development and engineering, project administration, capacity building and training, monitoring and evaluation, multi stakeholder planning and knowledge management. Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of local working language in of the duty station an asset.

Under the general supervision of the Chief Field Office, assist in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a behaviour change and social mobilization strategy to support UNICEF's mission in the country
Qualifications & Experience: University degree in the Social / behavioural sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Health Education). Minimum two years professional work participatory communication, communication planning, social mobilization behaviour change and community empowerment at either national or international level. Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of local working language of duty station an asset.
