1. Qualification: i) At least High-Second class Post Graduate Degree in Demography/ Statistics/ Mathematics/ Social Science/ Economics/ Sociology/ Psychology/ Anthropology/ Geography
   ii) Ph. D. in any of the above subjects
   iii) Persons with P.G. Degree in subjects other than Demography/ Population Science should have studied/ training in Demography/ Population studies
2. Experience: Atleast 10 years teaching/ research experience in Population Studies/ Demography or conducting of Socio-economic surveys/ Demographic surveys
3. Scale of Pay: UGC Scale of Rs. 37400-67000 Plus AGP - Rs. 9000/-

02   Social Scientist/ Assistant Professor: 1 Post

1. Qualification: i) Preferably 55% and above marks in Post Graduate Degree in Sociology/ Social Work/ Psychology/ Anthropology/ Demography/ Statistics/ Mathematics/ Economics/ Geography.
   ii) Ph.D. in any of the above subjects or National Eligibility Test (NET) (Desirable)
   iii) Persons with P.G. Degree in subjects other than Demography/ Population Science should have studied/ Training in Demography/ Population Studies (Desirable)
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years teaching/ research experience in Population Studies/ Demography/ conducting of Socio-economic/ Demographic surveys desirable.
3. Scale of Pay: UGC Scale of Rs. 15600-39100 Plus AGP Rs. 6000/-

03   Research Investigator: 1 Post

1. Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Sociology/ Psychology/ Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Demography/ Home Science/ Social work.
2. Experience: Atleast 5 years experience in collection/ analysis of data/ conducting field surveys.
3. Scale of Pay: Karnataka Government (Pre-revised) Pay Scale of Rs.5575-10620
4. Age limit: Below 35 years

04   Field Investigator: 1 Post

1. Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Sociology/ Psychology/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Home Science/Social work
2. Experience: Some experience in collection/ analysis of Data (desirable)
3. Scale of Pay: Karnataka Government (Pre-revised) Pay Scale of Rs.3850-7050
4. Age limit: Below 35 years
