Emirates Telecommunications Corporation - ETISALAT, As part of it's vision of establishing a state-of-the-art Business Intelligence environment serving the whole spectrum of business stakeholders, Etisalat/UAE is currently implementing a multi-phase Teradata Enterprise Data-warehouse environment. The following positions are required in the Etisalat Central IT Department at Abu Dhabi, UAE to support this initiative.

• Teradata EDW Data Architect/Designer JRE23778
  (Business Analyst/Partner & Business Intelligence)
  Position would report to Manager/Business Intelligence for phase-wise construction and management of the Teradata Enterprise data warehouse and all data element and Metadata in line with and in co-ordination with corporate data policies laid down by the BI Competency Centre. In addition this role is responsible for and custodian of the Teradata CLDM (Communications Logical Data Model).

  Role and Key Responsibilities: Designing the overall technical solution including data modeling, data mapping and overall solution architecture to translate the Stakeholders' Analytical/ Business Intelligence requirement to Teradata Subject Area/ Facet/ Entity/ Physical Model • He/She will provide Etisalat source data model and metadata according to the Data Attributes Required • Model denomalization, performance tuning, Data-warehouse security • Modeling Experience using Erwin Modelling • Devise and administer database utility execution strategies • Plan for database storage needs • Coordinate and assist in the implementation of data replication and distribution • Familiarity with Teradata Administrator • Familiarity with various database tuning support tools (TD Index Wizard, TD Statistics Wizard, TD System Emulation Tool, TD Visual Explain etc.) • Strong Erwin Case-tool modeling skills, including report creation • Develop and maintain security standards and procedures • Coordinate integration of business areas into the data warehouse.

• Teradata CLDM Logical Data Modeller JRE23779
  (Systems Analyst/Partner & Business Intelligence)
  Position would report to Manager/Business Intelligence and would primarily be involved in setting up the overall technical architecture including requirements management, data modeling and solution architecture in Teradata Enterprise Data-warehouse environment. Must possess: Teradata EDW implementation experience in a large integrated Telco is essential • In-depth knowledge of Teradata CLDM (Communications Logical Data Model) data architecture, including standards around data definition, attribute naming, and identifying record of reference for critical entities • Strong business analytical skills in an large integrated Telecom Service provider environment • Strong relational design knowledge and experience • Facilitation, and communication skills to be able to converse fluency with the business experts • Strong Erwin Case-tool modeling skills, including report creation.

  Role and Key Responsibilities: CLDM Customization based on Business stakeholder requirements • Maintain project Logical Data Model • Preparation of Source Matrix design for ETL, Extract Specification Design, Transformation and load Metric, Documentation of Load process, development and migration of Scripts and integration testing & Synchronize enterprise model with project model (s) • Maintain and enhance enterprise data model • Assist in determining and obtaining resources need as the warehouse evolves • Develop and maintain security standards and procedures • Coordinate integration of business areas into the data warehouse.

• Software Specialist/Sr. Software Specialist-Business Intelligence JRE23780
  Position would report to Manager/Business Intelligence of end-user and ETL applications in Teradata Enterprise Data warehouse/ ESSBASE/ Hyperion HPSU environment, in addition to customizing application and data access tools to accommodate stakeholder needs.

  Role and Key Responsibilities: Design, coding, and implementing new data source to Teradata enterprise data-warehouse, customizing ETL environment and data access tools to source system • Design and code query / report scripts • Create scripts to retrieve, process and present data for the user • Prototype applications with business experts • Support application and data access tools (like HPSU Hyperion etc.) • Create and maintain metadata layer • Setup security layer and maintain users' access settings • Design and code ETL scripts and mappings using DataStage and Teradata ETA loading tools (Multiload, Fastload etc.) • Optimize & Tune Performance.

• Churn Management & Analytics with SAS Enterprise Miner (Sr. Business Analyst) JRE23781
  Position would report to Manager/Business Intelligence. Techno-functional Business Intelligence specialist with strong business knowledge and implementation experience of IS solutions for prediction/management of customer Chum, Customer segmentation, Retention, Cross-sell/up-sell and Campaign management who would be required to work in close collaborating with Etisalat marketing customer retention team.

  Role and Key Responsibilities: The Business Analyst would be responsible for implementation of data mining related projects using SAS Enterprise Miner and other Mining/Bl tools, data analysis and processing of Telco customer data, translating business requirements into analytic methods, building analytics models, developing analysis reports, and presenting reports to end user • Develop and supervise models for Customer Segmentation, Chum Management (Fixed, Wireless, Data, Internet, convergence services) Cross/Up-selling and Campaign Management models in an integrated Telcom environment • Assume lead role in developing profiles, predictive and segmentation models to enhance customer retention campaign performance • Provide consultations in statistical and Predictive modeling (regression, CHAID, Clustering neural network etc.), multi-variables analysis to select the best choice of all variables (log analysis to standardize information • Act as a subject matter expert on data analysis, predictive modeling, multi-variables analysis (log analysis & QI Square) and other data mining techniques • Design Business Intelligence reporting solution, ETL routines and OLAP/ROLAP based analytical reporting • Must possess Customer Chum management solution development / implementation experience in a large integrated Telecom • 4-5 years hands-on experience in SAS Enterprise Miner.

Educational Qualification/ Relevant Experience required for all the above position: Degree in Engineering/ Statistics/ Mathematics with of 5-10 years of industry experience out of which 4-5 years would be in Teradata Enterprise Data-warehousing/Teradata CLDM (Communications Logical Data Model) implementation/ support environment in a large Integrated Telecom company. In addition, the candidate: • Must Posses in -depth knowledge of Teradata CLDM (Communications Logical Data Model) data architecture, including standards around data definition, attribute naming, and identifying record of reference for critical entities • Teradata Certified Professional/Master is desirable • Should possess functional/technical experience of major Bl tools (Cognos, Datastage, Hyperion HPSU, EssBase) and ETL interfacing CDR/Event Records • Good spoken/written communication skills, presentation skill and ability to interact with end-user a must.
