Globacom Limited, Nigeria, is the Second National Operator in Telecomms Services. Globacom is in the process of launching 9,800 kilometers of Submarine Cables from Bude in the U.K to Lagos, Nigeria. This Submarine Cable is of huge capacity and will be branching in 16 different countries along its route. This includes U.K, Portugal, Spain, Cote D'lvoire, Senegal, Ghana and Nigeria (Lagos & Bonny). The company requires the service of an experienced Managing Director for Glo 1 and the remuneration would be internationally attractive.

Managing Director: Globacom Submarine Cable Network - GLO1

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or other relevant discipline.
• Post graduate qualifications in Business Administration and other relevant field would be an advantage
• Experience in Management of Submarine Cable Network would be an advantage.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years progressive operational and managerial experience with at least 5 years at Senior Managerial experience with at least 5 years at Senior Managerial level in a Telecommunications, especially Submarine Cable, Company.
• Good Commercial experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources both internal and external to ensure successful launch of GLO 1 in different countries.
• Identify and implement business opportunities along with cable route.
• Liaise with our Technical Partners to ensure smooth implementation of GLO 1
• Coordinate both commercial and technical teams that would efficiently and effectively manage GLO 1 across 16 countries including Portugal, Spain, Cote D'lvoire, Senegal, Ghana and Nigeria
