Database Administrator
Should have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering with minimum 5 years experience in Database Administration i.e. installation, configuration and upgrading of DB2 server software and related products (in AIX environment), evaluate features and functionality of DB2 versions and related products, establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures, Management of the Database design and implementation, implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges etc), database tuning and performance monitoring, application tuning and performance monitoring (with reference to SAP Queries), setup and maintain documentation and standards related to DBA roles, plan growth and changes (Capacity Planning), capability in preparing Technical Proposals related to DB2, quick troubleshooting skills, work as part of a team and provide 7x24 supports when required, do general technical troubleshooting and given consultation to development teams, Management of Interfaces with other DBMS like MSSQL, possess problem management / incident management skill sets, sound knowledge of ISMS standards and policies.

Should have expertise in IBM UDB DBA / DB2 over 9 and expertise in Oracle, Windows SQL preferred. Should be familiar with operating systems AIX / UNIX, Windows Server 2003 / 2008 as well as Sap Knowledge, IBM TSM System, Windows Environments preferred.
