for filling up the following posts:

Junior Technical Superintendent (System Administrator) in the Computer Centre. Pay Band: Rs.9300-34800 (PB-2) with Grade pay of Rs.4200/-. Total emoluments on the minimum of pay, including HRA is Rs.21566/- p.m. No of Posts: 3 (1 Unreserved & 2 reserved for SC). Qualification & Experience: B.Tech./ B.E. Computer Science/ Electrical Engg./ Electronics or M.Sc. or M.C.A with one year experience or a relevant, equivalent, recognised, specialized Bachelors degree in Science with two years experience. Technical Profile and Skills: Expected to join as team members with focus on system administration/ networking/ hardware tasks and planning for different aspects of IIT Bombay's ICT infrastructure. The applicant should have exposure/ aptitude in more than one of the following broad areas: (a) Programming in C, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby etc. and Shell Programming. (b) Advance knowledge of installation, upgrade and troubleshooting of Unix/ Linux servers. On-hand experience with Open Source Software highly desirable (c) Knowledge of Networked/ Distributed/ Web-based Applications and their security. (d) Familiarity with hardware platforms and knowledge about Hardware-OS interaction, (e) Open Source software installation, configuration, maintenance. (1) Networked systems planning, implementation and troubleshooting, (g) Develop document and conduct technical training sessions for end users.
Junior Technical Superintendent in the Hindi Cell. Pay Band: Rs.9300-34800 (PB-2) with Grade pay of Rs.4200/-. Total emoluments on the minimum of pay, including HRA is Rs.21566/- p.m. No of Posts: 01 (Reserved for ST). Qualification & Experience: Master's degree in Hindi from recognized University. Experience of technical translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa. Knowledge of computer operations and Hindi, English Typing will be preferred.
System Administrator in the Central Library for a period of three years. Consolidated salary range between Rs. 12000/- to Rs.15000/- per month. No of Posts: 01. Qualification & Experience: M.Sc./ B.Tech./ B.E. Or M.C.A with one year experience. Persons with experience of Library Management Systems/ Software will be given preference.
System Administrator in the SJM School of Management for a period of 1-3 years, Consolidated salary range between Rs.12000/- to Rs.15000/- per month. No of Posts : 0). Qualification & Experience: B.E/ M.Sc./ M.C.A. experience with system administration essential, familiarity with Unix (Linux), Windows system administration (including NT, 2000 and XP), familiarity with common application software such as MS Office, good written and oral communication ability desirable.
Technical Assistant (Library) in the SJM School of Management for a period of 1-3 years. Consolidated salary range between Rs.7500/- to Rs.10500/- per month. No of Posts: 01. Qualification & Experience: Bachelor's degree plus degree in Library Science with minimum four years of relevant experience or Master's degree in Library Science with one year experience.
Technical Assistant (Computer Lab.) in the SJM School of Management for a period of 1-3 years. Consolidated salary range between Rs.7500/- to Rs.10500/- per month. No of Posts: 01. Qualification & Experience: M.Sc./ B.Tech./ B.E. Or B.Sc with 2 years relevant experience or M.C.A with one year experience. Knowledge of computer applications.

Age limit: (i) 32 years for post from Sr. No. 1 to 4 (relaxation as per rules) (ii) 27 years for post of Sr. No. 5 & 6
Persons employed in Govt./ Semi-Govt organization or Educational Institution should apply through proper channel
