The Trust is endeavoring to address the issue of farmers distress across 300 villages of the six districts of Vidharbha, within Maharashtra through its Sukhi Baliraja Initiative (SBI). It is seeking suitable professionals to lead and be part of its SBI team. The TL would:

1. manage a team of development executives for developing and sustaining SBI interventions;
2. lead and guide the planning, implementation, review and monitoring of the SBI supported projects.
3. build networks and liaise with the Government and other relevant organizations;
4. assess staffing requirement of the team and recruit staff;
5. liaise with the donors in regard to their reporting and monitoring system; and
6. oversee the administration of SBI. The PA will assist senior programme staff in developing and initiating grants within SBI. The job entails working as part of the Team, with potential and current grantees, as well as with local non-profits and the state governments; in project indentification, appraisal and proposal development; evaluation and analysis of project progress; documentation, reporting and monitoring; and managing a panel of programme specialists.

Requirements:

1. Master's degree in Social Science/ Rural Management/ Development/ Geology/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Environmental Sciences/ Engineering;
2. 7-10 years experience (3 years of PA) in community based rural development; specially in the areas of livelihoods, marketing enterprises, management of land and water resources/ watershed management/ agriculture projects, of which 3-4 years (for TL's position) should be in a leadership position;
3. ability to innovate startegies;
4. flexibility to travel to remote areas, and
5. possess good command of English, Hindi and Marathi, besides excellent computer skills.

After a brief orientation at the Trust's headquarters in Mumbai, the candidates would be based at Nagpur or Amravati. Remuneration shall be commensurate with the applicant's ability and experience.
