Essar Exploration & Production South East Asia Limited (EEPSEAL), Mauritius, is part of a global conglomerate that has a strong presence in the exploration and production of oil & gas, with licenses to operate in two blocks - Onshore Block L and Offshore Block A2-both on the west coast of the Union of Myanmar.
EEPSEAL will commence onshore and offshore drilling campaigns in these blocks in September 2008. It is looking for E&P professionals in the field so Drilling Operations, Geosciences, Finance & Commercial, Logistics and Contracts & Procurement. Positions will be based at Yangon, capital of Myanmar, or at Sittwe Base Office from where the block operations will be controlled. Remuneration and employment terms will be comparable with the best in the industry and will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
Drilling Superintendents Code: EEPSEAL/08-09/01
An engineering graduate from a reputed institute with more than 20 years' experience whose key responsibilities will include implementing drilling policies and procedures. The responsibilities include monitoring daily progress of drilling operations and reporting, ensuring timely mobilizing and demobilizing all services and materials. Sound commercial awareness will be an advantage. Experience in both on-land and offshore drilling rigs will be preferred.
Company Man Code: EEPSEAL/08-09/02
An engineering graduate with 15-20 years' experience who will be responsible for overall supervision of drilling operations at site as per drilling polices and procedures. Additional tasks include ensuring safe working environment and practices conforming to corporate HSE policy, assisting in technical and non-technical audits and coordinating with logistics management for mobilizing and demobilizing all services and material from drill site. Experience in both on-land and offshore drilling rigs will be preferred.
Drilling Fluids Specialist Code: EEPSEAL/08-09/03
A BSc/MSc in Chemistry or a BE in Chemical Engineering with 5-15 years' experience in the Drilling industry. The incumbent should provide technical support to drilling and work over in the areas of drilling and completion fluids design and formulation, drilling mud additives and chemicals, and troubleshooting of drilling rig problems related to drilling fluids.
Well Site Geologists Code: EEPSEAL/08-09/04
A postgraduate in Earth Sciences (Geology/Applied Geology/Petroleum Geology) from a reputed institute, with 6-10 years' experience in well site geology on an onshore/offshore well. The position will be responsible for supervising all aspects of geological operations during well drilling, like drilling cutting study, mud logging, coring, logging. The incumbent will also be charged with generating geological and well completion reports.
Senior Geologists Code: EEPSEAL/08-09/05
A postgraduate in Earth Sciences (Geology/Applied Geology/Petroleum Geology) from a reputed institute, with 10-15 years' experience as well site and exploration geologist. The responsibilities will include monitoring, evaluating and supervising the geological data during exploratory drilling, geophysical logging, geo-steering studies, etc. the position will be charged with processing the data regularly in the field to execute a speedy, efficient and economical exploration Programme.
Senior Geophysicists Code: EEPSEAL/08-09/06
A postgraduate in Earth Sciences (MSc/Mtech in Geophysics) from a reputed institute, with 10-15 years' experience. The position will be responsible for planning and acquisition, processing/interpretation of 2D/3D seismic data, ensuring geophysical database management and quality control of all geophysical activities. Knowledge of Geology and well logging / VSP will be an advantage.
Senior Manager-Finance & Commercial Code: EEPSEAL/08-09/07
A CA/MBA (Finance) with 8-12 years' experience in Oil & Gas industry, specifically in operations of production sharing contracts, joint operation agreements and block accounting. Expertise in audit, banking and commercial activities, like tendering, vendor negotiations and contracting for procuring various oilfield materials and services is essential. Exposure to SAP environment desirable.
Logistics Coordinators Code: EEPSEAL/08-09/08
A graduate with 5-10 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with experience in the relevant field. This position will coordinate with clearing & forwarding agents, customs authorities, transporters and relevant local and government agencies for timely clearance of all imported materials and services it will also oversee the movement of local materials, etc., ensuring timely availability at the site.
Procurement & Contracts Coordinators Code: EEPSEAL/08-09/09
An engineering graduate with 5-10 years' experience in the relevant field who will manage the tendering process, and the procurement of services, consumables and equipment confirming to the procurement procedures provided under the various contracts. He position will also take charge of tendering, negotiations, execution of final agreements, supplier relationship management, material management and inventory control. Exposure to SAP environment desirable.
