To conquer future challenges, ECC is developing a Design Unit for Hydro Projects located in its Engineering Design & Research Centre (EDRC) at Faridabad near Delhi. Here, engineers will work on hydropower and irrigation projects from concept to commissioning. Operations will include PFR (Pre-Feasibility Reports, DPR, (Detailed Project Reports, and basic and detailed engineering during execution. EDRC also works with leading international design agencies on L&T's various EPC and IPP hydropower and irrigation projects. To execute these expansion plans, EDRC at Faridabad requires experienced manpower specialised in the following areas covering hydropower and irrigation projects:

1. Design Engineers specializing in designs for overall hydropower plants, structures (civil) & hydro-mechanical works), electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical equipment, geo-technical and rock-mechanics systems, hydraulics & hydrology, mechanical & electrical systems, etc.
2. Engineers - EPC Project Co-ordination
3. Engineers - Business Development, Tendering & Costing
4. Procurement Engineers for electro-mechanical & hydro-mechanical equipment
5. Engineers experienced in development of construction methods
6. Engineering Geologists with a Design background
7. Experienced Surveyors for surface and underground works
8. Draftsmen - Civil / Mechanical / Electrical

Qualifications:
Engineers: Engineering graduates, preferably post-graduates for Deign Engineers, with intensive experience in Indian conditions, particularly in Himalayan regions. Exposure to international design environment, an advantage.

Draftsmen & Surveyors: Diploma / ITI qualification.

For the above positions, requirements exist at various levels. Only those with relevant experience ranging from 2 to 20 years in reputed organizations may apply.
