Welcome to the emerging world of infotronics is a 50-50 joint venture between Ashok Leyland, the flagship of the Hinduja Group and the second largest commercial vehicle manufacturer in India and Continental AG, Germany (incorporating within it, Siemens VDO) one of the world's leading automotive industry suppliers offering comprehensive know-how in tyre and brake technology, vehicle dynamics control and sensor systems with around 89,000 employees at work at more than 100 locations across 28 countries. The joint venture will design, develop and adapt infotronics products and services for the transportation sector. Automotive Infotronics will develop electronic components and software such as instrument cluster applications, cockpit electronics and various control units for both commercial vehicles and passenger cars.

Product Lifecycle Management/ Project Management: Job Code AIT 1
Profile: Responsible for the product management over the whole product life cycle, including the product creation process, to make sure that the product designed, developed and produced, conform to the cost, time, quality and profit targets. Exposure to different facets of technology and product planning, business development and client servicing are essential.
Mechanical Design: Job Code AIT 2
Profile: Responsible for the mechanical design of electro-mechanical devices though all phases of the product creation process. Proficiency in Design Analysis (using FMEA, Poka-Yoke, Design to cost, Design for 6-Sigma, DoE and DFMA principles) of imperative. Exposure to engineering software tools for the design (Pro/E, Pro/I, autoCAD, CorelDraw), understanding of legal requirements and design standards are a must.
Hardware Design: Job Code AIT 3
Profile: Responsible for the hardware design of the electronic devices through all phases of the product creation process. Proficiency in Design Analysis (Using FMEA, Design to cost, Design for 6-Sigma, DoE and DFMA principles). Exposure to engineering software tools for the design, electronic design for automotive applications (Micro controller, digital/ analog circuits, EMC), understanding of legal requirements and design standards are a must.
PCB Layout: Job Code AIT 4
Profile: Responsible for the design of PCB Layout based on the achematics and conform to the standards and company procedures. Proficiency in PCB design and analysis for automotive systems, related software tools and understanding of the legal requirements and design standards for automotive products are a must.
Embedded Software Engineering: Job Code AIT 5
Profile: Responsible for the design of product specific embedded software applications, executing system integration and other support activities during system desnig, requirements elicitation and requirements/ performance documentation conform to the system specification. Proficiency to Engineering Software Tools (CASE Tools), Software development processes (V Model, Structured Analysis, etc.)
Non-Embedded Software Engineering: Job Code AIT 6
Profile: Responsible for the design of product specific non-embedded software applications (i.e.Java), executing system integration and other support activities during systems design, requirements elicitation and requirements/ performance documentation conform to the system specification. Proficiency to Engineering Software Tools (CASE Tools), Software Engineering for automotive embedded applications and software development processes (V Model, Structured Analysis, etc.)
Quality, Processes and Testing: Job Code AIT 7
Profile: Responsibilities would be to develop and implement the quality management system (ISO/ TS16949) and processes (conform to CMMI, SPICE), setting up and maintaining environmental test facilities (ISO/ IEC 17025), supporting in-house and supplier network, establishing EMC expertise, system integration, system testing expertise (manual/ automated), tracking performance and improving the quality performance in production (6 and improving the quality performance in production (6 sigma, DoE).
Production Engineering: Job Code AIT 8
Profile: Responsible for conformance of production lines to approved process and standards, ensuring manufacturing efficiency and quality. Exposure to state-of-the-art production technologies for electro-mechanical automotive products, production processes, prototype building for PCB, plastic parts and participate in design analysis using PFMEA, DFMA and Poka-Yoke concepts.
