At CRY - Child Rights and you'll be using your professional skills and experience to build mass movements to restore basic rights to underprivileged children and bring about sustainable social change.
As India's leading advocate for child rights, we believe in enabling people to tackle the root causes for their deprivation. In realizing the rights of underprivileged children in India, we at CRY, see ourselves as co-players with our program and alliance partners.
Going beyond more financial support to our partners, CRY enables movement building through capacity building, information sharing, networking, policy analysis and advocacy, joint planning and monitoring of programmes and evaluation of their impact.
We are looking for Child Rights Advocates, who, given the space and challenges, will chalk out ideas for irrevocable social change. We urge individuals who can work in a transparent, democratic and collective decision and making environment to join CRY.
Manager - Development Support (Karnataka / Andhra Pradesh)
As an agent of social change, you will be the link between CRY and supported partners in Karnataka / Andhra Pradesh. Your responsibilities will include planning, monitoring and evaluation of CRY supported initiatives, facilitating capacity building of partners, environment scanning, identifying areas / projects for CRY's intervention, supporting alliance building and advocacy efforts.
You will, preferably, have to be a Posts Graduate in social work, sociology, rural development, political science or anthropology from a repute institute. You must have 5-7 years experience and have worked in the field of urban or rural development with a rights based approach, along with activists and campaigners. You must be willing to travel extensively.
You primary experience must be in planning, monitoring and evaluating projects, strategic influencing, mass based advocacy and mobilisation. Strong analytical skills, written and oral communication skills in English are essential. Knowledge of Kannada and Telegu for the respective positions would be an advantage.
Both positions are based in Bangalore, Women and those from historically marginalized sector will be given preference.
