The National Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture (NaCSA) is an agency established by the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The major objective of the Society is to promote, guide and assist the aqua farmers in the maritime states to adopt sustainable and environment friendly farming practices for production of quality seafood.
NaCSA Invites applications from eligible persons for the post of Project Coordinator. The persons with the following qualification/ experience may apply through proper channel:
1. Educational Qualification:
Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Fishery Sciences/ Marine sciences.
Desirable: Background in rural management, aquaculture extension, planning and promotion of sustainable aquaculture. Knowledge in regional language of coastal states is desirable. The candidate must be computer literate.
Experience: 5 years field experience in aquaculture including shrimp farming. Hands on experience on commercial shrimp hatchery/ farming of shrimps/ scampi/ cultivable species are desirable.
Age: Below 35 years as of 3rd Oct. 2007. For the people from deputation from other Govt. Institutes the age limit is 45 yrs. For the SC/ ST candidates the age limit is relaxed by 5 years.
Salary: Rs. 22,000 per month, consolidated.
Type of appointment: Deputation/ contract basis
Deputation pay scale: Based on the basic scale of 10000-325-15850
Period of appointment: Tenure post extendable for two more years; otherwise annual contract which can be renewed based on performance.
