Rural Livelihoods & Communities [Central India Initiative (Clnl)]
The Trust is looking for a suitable professional to consolidate and expand its activities within the Clnl, which focuses on enhancing the livelihoods of the tribal communities in central India through land and water focused development interventions, as it is increasingly geared up to identify new funding opportunities within the initiative, while simultaneously learning from its past grant-making experience.
The candidate should: Possess a Master's degree in Social Science / Rural Management / Development / Geology / Agriculture / Forestry / Environmental Sciences / Geology / Agriculture / Forestry / Environmental Sciences / Engineering; have a minimum of three years experience in community based rural development; specifically in the areas of management of land and water resources / watershed management / community health, hygiene and sanitation / agriculture projects; have the zeal to excel, the ability to innovate future strategies and deliver, in a challenging environment; be willing to undertake extensive travel to remote areas; and have a good command of spoken and written English and Hindi.
After a brief orientation at the Trust's headquarters in Mumbai, the candidate may be posted in the field at any of the project locations, as deemed essential by the trust.
