Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a Scientific Society of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Govt. of India is looking for R&D Engineers in the area of Ubiquitous/ Pervasive computing Technologies and Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) to join a team of professionals! C-DAC provides conducive environment and ambience for research and development with state-of-the art laboratories and computing facilities.

I. Position E-I (Rs. 8,000-275-13,500/-) (under revision) (Gross Pay Rs. 25,000/- approx.)
Qualification: First Class B.E./ B.Tech./ MCA or M.E./ M.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Communication/ Electrical/ Control & Instrumentation Engineering. Design and Development Experience is desirable in one or more of the following areas:

(i) Programming skills in C, C++, Java, J2EE, XML.

(ii) Operating system internals, device drivers, real-time and embedded systems.

(iii) Communication protocols for wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, Wimax, Ultrawideband, wireless sensor networks, mesh networks etc.

(iv) Sensor technologies, control systems, artificial intelligence.

(v) Hardware development, board level design, VHDL, EDA design tools, system-on-chip etc.

Age Limit: The candidate must not be over 28 years of age as on 30th September 2007.

II. Position E-II (Rs. 10,000-325-15,200/-) (under revision) (Gross Pay Rs. 30,000/- approx.)
Qualification: First Class B.E/ B.Tech./ MCA with 4 years or M.E./ M.Tech with 2 years experience or Ph.D in, Computer Science/ Electronics/ Communication/ Electrical/ Control/ Instrumentation Engineering with R&D Experience at least in two of the following areas:

(i) Communication protocols for wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, Wimax, Ultrawideband, wireless sensor networks mesh networks etc.

(ii) Middleware, Web services, Service Oriented Architecture etc.

(iii) Operating system internals, device drivers, real-time and embedded systems.

(iv) Sensor technologies, control systems, artificial intelligence, context-aware computing.

(v) Hardware development, board level design, VHDL, EDA design tools system-n-chip etc.

(vi) Software engineering design methodologies, programming, OOAD, Components, UML, testing, Product Development.

Age Limit: The candidate must not be over 33 years of age as on 30th September 2007.

III. Position E-III (Rs. 12,000-375-16,500/-) (under revision) (Gross Pay Rs. 36,000/- approx.)
Qualification: First Class B.E./ B.Tech./ MCA with 7 years or M.E./ M.Tech with 5 years or Ph.D with 3 years experience in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Communication/ Electrical/ Control/ Instrumentation Engineering with R&D and Project Management Experience at least two or more areas as in Position E-II.

Age Limit: The candidate must not be over 37 years of age as on 30th September 2007.
