'Social Secretary cum Residence Manager'
We have a vacancy for a Social Secretary cum Residence Manager at the Deputy High Commissioner's Residence. The candidates should be a highly motivated, organised and creative individual, equipped with strong communication initiative to meet the challenges of this position. The position is on a 3-year contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth running of the representational/social part of the work done by the DHC; to be proactive and timely in all aspects of planning and management of events.
- Responsible for managing the day to day running and maintenance of the Residence.
- Prepare accurate accounts and manage the inventory.
- Line manage staff at the Residence.
The ideal candidate would:
- Be dynamic with qualifications in hotel management or related field; have minimum 3 years of proven experience in event management. Similar relevant residence management experience would be desirable. Familiarity with western food, recipes and cookery terms is essential. Previous experience of line management of junior staff is required.
- Have sound accounts/financial management experience/skills.
- BE excellent in written and verbal communication in English and Hindi; have good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
