... The Organising Committee Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 (OC) invites applications from dynamic professionals with flair and attitude to lead in the following areas:

Additional Director General- Venues
The candidate shall play a pivotal role in the operational planning and delivery of the Games by developing and implementing the Games-time operational command structure, developing & delivering the venues, and supporting the integration & venujsation of the organization. In additional the candidate shall:

• Directly manage the games-time operations through decentralized command structure
• Oversee venue & operational planning, including developing design concepts, detailed overlay & event operations planning
• Oversee detailed planning & overlay design process & ensure the appropriate fit-out of all Games venues
• Oversee the development of Game time management structure through the various Games phases
• Maintain strong communications with external agencies Understand & adhere to host city contractual obligations relating to Games venues and programs

Additional Director General- Sport
The candidate shall lead the development of the Sport function's strategies regarding sport competition, sport policy and operations and sport services. In addition to candidate shall:

• Act as the chief OC representative for Sport for all sport related matters and with sport governing bodies
• Oversee sport related functions that provide core services to athletes & officials and ensure high quality delivery of such services
• Oversee the Sports programme, in conjunction with the Sport Federations, in relation to the delivery of Sports, Sports schedules, competition and training venues
• Design & execute agreements with sport federation and Government agencies as required
• Develop & integrate testing plans for sports in the years leading upto the Games

Deputy Director General- Venue
Development & Games Operations
In addition to providing support to ADG- Venues, the candidate shall have the responsibility for execution and delivery of the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games to be held in Pune. The candidate shall:

• Oversee & coordinate design, delivery & operations of the Games
• Interface with the senior team of the Delhi 2010 OC in securing support for the Games delivery
• Act as the interface with Games delivery partners including Youth Games
• Balance the differing needs of multiple stakeholders whilst ensuring the best delivery outcomes for the Games
• Lead the Games-time command structure & resolve Games-related issues
