Business Development Manager

This role is responsible for assisting the Trade Commissioner, Regional Managers and Directors to maximize New Zealand Trade & Enterprises impact on foreign exchange earnings from the market by providing market related intelligence and consultancy services to New Zealand exporters in defined industry sectors which:

• Add value to their exports
• Will gain or enhance their competitive advantage
• Will meet or exceed their needs.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a high level of written and oral communication skills in English, very good interpersonal skills including networking and an in depth understanding of business structures with the ability to recognise capability issues at the individual company level. You will be able to multitask and have developed research and analytical skills.

This role will allow you to analyse and scope sector opportunities in the local market, including involving third markets or local joint venture partners. You will provide monthly market intelligence on designated sectors for the global updates and management reports both for the local market and the wider SSEA region.
