Indian Oil plans to recruit around 350 Engineers/Officers from various disciplines including Fire Engineering, Boiler Operations (BOEs) and HR. Applications are invited from young and energetic persons with initiative and enterprise, desirous of making a career with IndianOil. Of this, 49 will be selected as Graduate Apprentice Engineers who would be absorbed as Officers after One Year's training subject to their performance being found satisfactory.

Age Limit: 26 years for Engineers/GAEs and 20 years for BOEs as on 30th June 2007 (relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years for SC/ST/EXSM, 3 years for OBC & 10 years for Physically Challenged persons).

Qualification:
Minimum 65% marks in respect of Engineering disciplines and 60% in respect of HR discipline for GEN/OBC candidates and pass class for SC/ST/PH candidates in concerned qualifying Degree examination (Full Time Regular Course), from recognized Indian University/Institute. For BOE's the requirement of minimum 65% marks in qualifying Engineering Degree Examination is not applicable.

Selection, Training & Placement:
The selection methodology will comprise-Written Test(Objective type consisting of 2 parts General Aptitude and Discipline Knowledge), Group Discussion/Group Task and Personal Interview. Candidates applying for the position in Boiler Operations will not be required to appear in the Written Test.

Candidates selected Engineers /Officers will get a Base Pay of Rs. 20424/- p.m. (Basic Pay Rs. 12000/- plus DARs. 8424/-) in the scale of pay of Rs. 12000-17500/- The Cost-to-Company will be around Rs. 5.65 lakhs p.a.

Candidates selected as Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAEs) will be paid consolidated stipend @Rs.20,000/- per month during the training period.

Health
The candidate should be in good physical & mental state and shall meet the laid down standards for medical fitness to perform duties in Refineries. Pipelines & Marketing Division of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. The candidates with diseases including but not limited. to , Myopia & Hypermetropioa exceeding +- 4.00 ischemic heart disease, cardiac vascular diseases, cirhosis and chronic liver disease, renal failure, diabetes, melitus with target organ damage, seizure disorder, major psychiatric disease, drug abuse and malignancy shall be disqualified. Color blindness is a disqualification for Engineers and BOEs. 1. Valid e-mail id(plus an alternate e-mail id) with a minimum validity for the next six months.
2. General and OBC candidates must have NON-REFUNDABLE crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- towards application fee drawn on State Bank of India, Service Branch (Code No. 7687) in favour of Indian oil Corporation Limited (Refineries Division) payable at New Delhi. No other mode of payment will be acceptable.
3. Details of Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates like name of the caste/sub-caste, date of issue, name of issuing authority, State of origin, etc.
4. Percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification i.e., B.E./B.Tech, etc for those who have completed qualifying degree examination.
5. Candidates who have appeared/are appearing in final qualifying examination in 2007 may also apply. They will be required to select "RA" (Result Awaited) option from the drop down menu of online application form. However, these "RA" candidates will have to submit documentary proof of having passed the qualifying degree examination with minimum prescribed percentage of marks latest by 31.8.2007.Without this documentary proof, candidates will not be allowed to appear in the GD/GT and Interview.
6. The online registration commences on 2nd May 2007 and closes on 23rd May 2007.

After successfully completing the registration process, the candidate must take a printout of filled in Application Form, affix his passport size photograph, put his signature at the specified space and send the same by ordinary post along with Original Demand Draft/Pay Order and attested copy of caste/disability certificate, as applicable to the Advertiser, PostBox No. 3096, Lodhi Road Head Post Office, New Delhi - 110 003. These documents must reach the specified Post Box latest by 2rd June 2007.

The Written test is scheduled to be held on8th July 2007.
