The National Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture (NaCSA) is an agency established by the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEOA), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, with its headquarters at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The major objective of the Society is to promote, guide and assist the aqua farmers in the maritime states to adopt sustainable and environment friendly farming practices for production of quality seafood for export. The primary function of this outreach organization is to provide technical support to aqua farmers in order to provide an effective extension linkage among large numbers of small-scale farmers in the coastal areas of various maritime states. To attain this, the NaCSA will carry out extension activities through primary aquaculture societies with a participatory approach, empowering farmers.
NaCSA invites applications from eligible persons for the post of "Chief Executive Officer" (CEO) to head the agency. The persons with the following qualification/ experience may apply through proper channel:
Essential Educational Qualification
Post Graduate Degree in Fishery Sciences.
Desirable
Background in rural management, aquaculture extension, planning and promotion of sustainable aquaculture
Experience
10 years field experience in aquaculture including shrimp faming. Hands on experience on commercial shrimp hatchery/ farming of shrimp/ scampi/ other cultivable species are desirable.
Age
Below 40 years
Candidate from Govt./ semi Govt. organization
Officers having atleast five years experience in the pay scale of Rs.10,000-325-15,200 and above, having the qualification and experience as above.

Three years for deputed officials; otherwise annual contract which can be renewed based on performance.

Applications to be accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs. 250/- drawn in favour of The National Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture, payable at Kakinada. SC/ST and Department candidates are exempted from application fee. The application should reach to "Director, The Marine Products Export Development Authority, MPEDA House, Panampilly Avenue, Panampilly Nagar, Kochi- 682 036, Kerala" on or before 17.00 hrs on 20.4.2007 in a sealed cover, superscribing " Application for the post of Chief Executive Officer".
Late applications will be summarily rejected. The MPEDA reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reasons there of. The application fee once paid is not refundable.
