Asst. Manager/Engineer
Heavy Earth Moving Equipt.
For Cement plant in North Lebanon
A leading Lebanese cement manufacturer with a capacity of about 2 million tons/year with 3 kilns in operation and a large export market is seeking an Asst. Manager/Engineer for maintaining its Quarrying and exploitation equipment. The company is in the process of expanding its capacity and take up various upgrading projects in the plant. The candidate is expected to be a an expert in the Repair, Maintenance and Management business of Heavy Duty Earthmoving machinery.
Operational Duties and Responsibilities:
- The maintenance and repair of all CAT and non CAT machinery
- Close coordination with the Mechanics and shift Foreman regarding trouble shooting and decision making.
- Preparation of spare parts enquiries with close coordination with the Mechanics, Foreman and the Stores
- Planning and scheduling repair and maintenance jobs
- Studying and understanding CN fleet and Production/Garage relationship
- Understanding the catalogues and the maintenance management system of the CN Fleet, i.e. Maintenance and system operation of each of the equipment.
- Understanding the new troubleshooting techniques in the new technology machines.
- Applying ISO 9001:2000 as set by CN, and strives to train the Technicians to both apply and update themselves through training.
- Makes sure that the Department is abiding by the Environmental rules set by EMS 14001: 2005
- Propose development and corrective actions in the area of the EMS related to the Machinery Maintenance Department.
Skills and Educational Requirements:
- Minimum BE in Mechanical Engineering.
- Very good command of the English language
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in Caterpiller, Volvo and Mercedes Machines i.e. repair and troubleshooting/Process Operation).
- Computer Oriented in Maintenance Management
- Able to manage a group of Technicians
