Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.E/M.Tech. (M.C.A should be with Mathematics background only).

Unless specified in the profiles, we require experience ranging from 2 to 8 years. Based on relevant experience you will be considered for Engineer / Senior Engineer / Lead / Manager.

We egret that we will not be able to consider candidates with less than 2 years experience in this round of recruitment.

Software Development
CHN-SD-1: Experience in design, implementation, and operational support of VxWorks based embedded software systems for managing, monitoring and controlling of customized high speed hardware and ASICS. Development to Support Ethernet hardware modules.

Essential: • Source Learning, VLANS, LACP, Flood / Storm Control, Port Mirroring • Layer III Routing Protocols, OSPF, MPLS, VRRP, Ipv4 / Ipv6, Layer 2 Switching • STP (MSTP, RSTP and Std) • Layer 3 (Ipv4 / IPv6), Interface Management, VBAS, Radius • QoS, 802.1p, IDS, ACLs, Queuing / Traffic Management, RED, WRED, • IGMP, GM RP, Marker Protocol • CLI, Embedded Management and Applications, RMON, SNMP • IP Applications, SSH, DHCP, relay agent • Security, 802.1x, Denial of Service attacks prevention (DOS), • IPSec.

CHN-SD-2: Essential: • Hands-on experience in C and C++ • Basic call handling / call handling feature implementation • Telecom Protocols (DPNSs/DASS2 / ISDN / QSIG) • IP Protocols (SIP / H.323 / RTP / VPN) / IP Switching • Voice mail / DECT • Call distribution / Automatic Call Routing / CSTA protocol.

Software Testing

CHN-ST-1: Essential: • Experience in IP Protocol (Layer 2 / Layer 3 IP protocols) testing • Strong testing skills (At least three of the sub-points mentioned below) • Black box, white box testing • Functional, end-to-end Product test • Regression testing / Automated testing • Test case design, Unix / Linux knowledge, scripting knowledge (TCL / Tk, Perl).

CHN-ST-2: Essential: • Telecom testing (Basic call testing / feature testing) • Telecom protocol testing (DPNSS / DASS2 / ISDN / QSIG / CCD / CSTA / ACR) • IP Protocol testing (SIP / H.323 / RTP / VPN) • Traffic and automatic testing.

Tool Development

CHN-TD-1: Development experience in C, C++, Perl, TCL, Unix Shell (Ksh, Zsh, Csh) only with any Unix platform • Hands-on experience in Unix / Linux / Solaris internals and configurations • Testing knowledge in software tools • Experience in C compilation methodologies with industry standard compliers like cc, gcc and Linkers • Experience in Make-File Creation (clear make) and ANT Script and automation.

CHN-TD-2: • Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of internal tools for Genesys Voice Platform (GVP) - a VOIP and TDM based IVR system.

Essential • Knowledge and experience of C++ or Java • GUI development experience a plus • Experience with at least one scripting language (Perl, Csh, Jscript, etc.) • Experience with both Windows and Unix / Linux • Knowledge of VOIP and Telephony concepts preferred.

VoIP Development

CHN-VD: Essential: • Strong working skills on C++ and Object Oriented Concepts • H.323 and SIP protocol • Multithreading working experience • Multi-O/S development (Windows and Solaris).

System Architecture

CHN-SA: Responsible for system architecture for new releases; ensuring compatibility, scalability and facilitate evolution of the product in successive releases; ensure overall product integrity.

Essential: • Minimum experience of 8 years • Software architecture (compatibility / scalability / integrity / evolution of product in successive releases) • Telecom software development (call handling / protocols / feature implementation).

Prepaid Mobile Solutions

GGN-PML: • Minimum experience of 6 years of which at least 2 years should be in a Team Lead position • Intelligent Network domain, SS7 protocol & C++ code knowledge required.

O & M / Lab & Field Support

GGN-Om: Essential: • Unix (System Administration), CCS7 (INAP, ISUP) • Oracle / SQL Server Basic knowledge on Telecom Networks / Intelligent Networks and Services.

Desirable: Experience in client support for Intelligent Network platforms Java, CORBA, Windows (system administration), Perl, CAMEL, MAP.

Clearcase Administration

GGN-CCA: Essential: • Experience in Clearcase, Release management in Clearcase & Multisite, Win NT & Unix, Shell Programming, Web Programming, Database • Win NT & Unix knowledge on system administration is a must • Clearcase administrator must be active manager in coordination with IS/IT team.

Desirable: Solaris 8 administrator, Clearcase administrator.

Systems Solution Architecture

GGN-SSA: Essential: • Minimum experience of 5 years • Knowledge of fixed networks, especially Intelligent Networks (IN) and IN Services • Knowledge of TDM network protocols (SS7, ISUP, INAP, CAP, MAP etc.) • Knowledge of NGN/IMS architecture and related protocols (SIP, SDP, Diameter, MEGACO) • Hands-on experience in OOPS, UNIX, SOAP, JAVA, C++, IP, XML, VXML, ORACLE and CORBA) • At least 3 years of development experience in IN solution (development of IN services and interfaces) with exposure to cost estimation techniques and technical compliance studies.

Desirable: • Exposure to fixed mobile convergence applications • Exposure to application development frameworks like Parley / Parley-X • Exposure to MGC, RGC Soft switch architecture and VOIP networks.

IN testing

GGN-IT: Essential: Knowledge on Testing of IN Services and familiarity of: SS7, INCS1, TCAP, ISUP, GSM or CDMA Software: Unix (user level), shell scripting (user level), SQL / Oracle (user level).

Testing Tools: Expert in at least one telecom Testing tools
Test Cycle: Good understanding of test methodologies, test life cycle, project management methodologies.

Desirable: CAP, INAP, XML/HTML, K1297, Ethernet.

UMTS Lab Management

NOD-ULM: Essential: • Minimum 4 years • Strong telecom laboratory setup and maintenance • Wireless telecom equipment • Knowledge of any protocol analyser INET, K1297, MGTS is essential • Technology of SS7, GSM, TCP / IP & VoIP • Candidates should have a good IT background.

Desirable: • Exposure to Wireless SoftSwitch (WSS) architecture • Unix knowledge • Networking basics • Experience with RNC / Node-B, BSC / BTS, MSC, HLR etc.
