Alpha Group, one of the largest privately held business houses in East Africa, with interests in Seafood processing and exports, Aquaculture, Dairy Products, Ice cream, Marine engineering and logistics, Shipyard etc., wishes to recruit dynamic and result-oriented individuals for the following positions.

Group Financial Controller
Candidates should be Chartered Accountants with around 15 years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing industries. with the last five years in the capacity of head of Finance & Accounts department. Additional qualification in law/Company Secretary (ACS) will be an added advantage.

The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the selected candidate will be responsible for the Group's Finance, Accounts, MIS, Budgeting, Cost analysis and control, Review and streamlining of systems etc.

Applicants should have exposure to commercial evaluation of business opportunities, high levels of initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving and excellent analytical/communication (spoken and written) and inter-personal skills. He should also have good knowledge of Accounting Packages and MS Office applications. Preferred age Group 35-50 years and a commitment to be associated with the organisation for at least five years is expected.

Chief Accountants
Candidates should be Chartered Accountants or ICWAs with around 3 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing industries.

The positions are based in Kenya and Tanzania. Reporting to the General Managers of the Profit Centres, the selected candidates will be responsible for the complete Finance & Accounting function. Hands-on experience in a computerised accounting environment necessary. Experience in Budgetary control preferred.

Applicants should have hands-on experience on Accounting Packages and MS Office Applications. Preferred age Group 27-35 years.

Accountants
Candidates should M.Com/B.Com with over 10 years of experience in Accounting. The positions are based in Kenya, Dar Es Salaam & an Island in Tanzania. Applicants should have experience in working in Computerised Accounting environments to strict deadlines.

Refrigeration Engineers
Candidates should be Degree/Diploma holders in Refrigeration Technology with around 5 years of experience in maintenance of various Refrigeration Equipments in the Seafood industry. Experience in maintenance of reciprocating compressors, screw compressors with sound knowledge of liquid and direct expansion refrigeration systems with multistage compressors is required. The positions are based in Tanzania.
