Hardware positions (NOIDA)
System Architects - Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: Architecture definition, specification, performance analysis and Use Case definition for complex Wireless Basebands, Networking Multi-core Processors comprising of multi-level memory sub-systems, on chip digital, analog and mixed mode peripherals, and employing state-of-the-art low power/performance enhancement techniques.
Must be familiar with internals of embedded processors such as ARM, DSP and PowerPC. Strong grasp of processor bus standards such as AHB, AXI desired. Hands-on experience with high level system profiling & analysis/C++/ System C/MATLAB would be an added plus.
System Modeling Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: Building and verifying high level models and frameworks for microprocessor cores and full fledged SoC systems for usage by internal and external SoC design/product teams.
Experience of Use Case scenario identification and workload generation desired. Proficiency in C/C++, UNIX shell, CVS, gcc, gdb, perl, gmake, SQL/ Database pre-requisites for the job.
PHY Design Engineers
Responsibilities: Designing algorithms and architecture for next generation Wireless/Wired modem applications and working with SoC design teams & Software teams in realization of products.
Must have strong experience in translating communication standards into product specifications. Experience with floating and fixed point simulation in MATLAB/C++/System C is must. Knowledge of WLAN, DVB, WCDMA, UMTS, WiMax, GSM/Edge, xDSL or other advanced digital wireless technology required.
Digital Design Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: Digital IP/Subsystem design for future Wireless and Networking products. Responsible for working with global teams to understand requirements and implement it into design.
Should have expertise in RTL design, synthesis, timing analysis, working with multiple clock domains. Knowledge of C++, System C or System Verilog is desired.
Verification Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: Functional verification and silicon validation of Wireless, Baseband/Application Processors and Networking SoCs using advanced, directed, random and formal verification techniques. May be required to design, enhance or maintain full fledged SoC testbench/testbench components. Would be required to write testcases in C & Assembly and be capable of understanding/ enhancing RTL code related to complex design blocks such as caches, memory sub-systems, microprocessor cores and application specific IP. Prior work experience with verification of embedded processor cores shall be a plus.
Physical Synthesis & Timing Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: Physical synthesis and timing closure of microprocessor/ DSP core platforms and complex SoCs. Responsible for generating chip level constraints, exceptions and achieving timing closure. Should be knowledgeable about Floorplanning/routing/Clock tree and DSM effects.
DFT Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: DFT for microprocessor core platforms and SoCs with tasks ranging from defining the SoC test architecture to DFT implementation and verification. Hands-on experience with Test Encounter/Fastscan/DFT Advisor/Testkompress is a pre-requisite for the job.
Physical Design Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: Physical design and verification of complex SoCs. Should have excellent hands-on experience pertaining to Floorplanning and Power Grid design, Clock tree, Timing and congestion driven Routing and Chip finishing and physical verification for large SoCs. Should have excellent knowledge of DSM effect analysis ranging from IR Drop, EM and Cross Talk analysis. Experience in 65nm technology is a plus.
Analog Design Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: Architecture definition and design and layout of analog blocks like ADC/DAC, Sigma-Delta, PLLs, High Speed PHYs, High voltage designs, RF. Knowledge of CMOS analog circuit design concepts, understanding of devices and process technology to be able to do complex circuit design, proficiency in use of EDA tools for schematic capture, circuit simulation (SPICE), layout and post-layout verification is essential.

Application Engineering Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: Applications system support for PowerPC processor based designs for Freescale customers. Experience on processor architecture, system bring-up and embedded software development is required.
Board Design Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: Designing and validating reference board designs for the Consumer/Telecom/Networking market. Experience with multilayer board design, testing & integration.
Software Enablement Engineers / Leads
Responsibilities: Developing formal Linux based s/w drivers & kernels for bring-up of PowerPC networking processors. Experience in application code for embedded networking products in Storage, Home Gateway, Set Top Box space and VolP.
Firmware Development - Engineers
Responsibilities: Development of embedded software based on the SLDC model for ICs for ARM and DSP processors using C, Assembly and simulator/emulator tools.
Must have experience in development and testing of Boot Monitor, DMA driver, Interfaces using USB/UART/Flash Devices (NAND/NOR), Windows based host application code over USB/UART interface.
Software Positions (Bangalore)
BSP Engineers/ Leads
Responsibilities will include written Embedded device drivers/BSP porting for various chips/hardware with good C skills. Exposure to Symbian/embedded linux OS device drivers/Baseporting desired.
Protocol Stack Engineers/ Leads
Work experience in development of Wireless Protocol Stacks in the areas of GSM/GPRS/UMTS/EDGE/CDMA/HSDPA. Good understanding of 3GPP standards. Experience in real-time embedded systems with strong programming skills.
Security Engineers/ Leads
Typical security algorithms for symmetric (block or stream) and asymmetric ciphers, message digest and authentication codes, random number generation. Mandatory for a lead position: Typical embedded or wireless security standards and protocols including PKCS, FIPS, X509, SSL/TLS, IPSec, WTLS.
