Centre For Development Of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), is a state-of-the-art Scientific Society of the Ministry of Communication and IT, Govt. of India, fusing technology and innovation to deliver advanced IT and electronics products for the IT industry and the nation. Our high end technology portfolio, has led to the indigenious development of the PARAM series of supercomputers, the latest being the PARAM Padma, a one teraflop supercomputer which was ranked 171 in the Top 500 list of Supercomputers worldwide.
Our core expertise notwithstanding, C-DAC's cutting edge technological prowess also extends to a wide range of specialized software development activities in the Scientific, Engineering, Indian Language, Business, Multimedia, Graphics and e-Goverance domain. Power Electronics, Broadband and Wireless, Strategic Electronics and Cyber Forensics are high-end technology areas of R&D being undertaken at the state-of-the-art C-DAC centre at Thiruvananthapuram. C-DAC, Mumbai is engaged in providing high technology support to the Indian Industry and business in the computer field through R&D, education and training, design and implementation of software and through consultancy on computer systems and networks.
With 11 centres across the country, C-DAC is now looking to add more teeth to its development and research activities and requires technically qualified candidates within the maximum age limit of 25 years (As on Aug, 1 2004. Relaxation for reserved category candidates applicable as per Government norms).
Educationsl Qualifications: Graduate in Engineering/ Technology in Computer Science/ IT/ Electronics. Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Computer Science/ Mathematics or Physics with exposure to Computational Science. Graduates in Engineering/technology with DAC/FPGDST/ PGDST offered by C-DAC. PhD in any engineering/ science disciplines with a Computational background may be considered for the relevant area. First class in Graduate & Post Graduate Degree is essential.
Experience: Dependent on the post and domain applied for.

Reservation: Of the 150 posts advertised, 24 posts are reserved for schedule casts, 11 posts for scheduled tribes and 36 posts for other backward classes. Physically handicapped, meritiorious sports persons, and ex-servicemen eligible for reservation shall also be considered according to the Government of India regulations.
Payscale: As per Central Government pattern - scales starting from 8000-275-13500.
Selection Process: Short-listed candidates would need to appear for a written test followed by an interview.
