Development

Embedded Development: • Strong C programming experience • Min 4 years of embedded system development experience • Working knowledge of RTOS and TCP/IP protocol stack • Hands-on experience of TCP/IP client-server application development • Knowledge of network security issues (cryptography, authentication, and firewall) a must • Familiarity with script language such as Tcl, Perl etc. is a plus • Be or equivalent degree in CS/EE or equivalent discipline.

In addition, the following skills are an added advantage:

Specific Qualifications
For Admin, Telnet, SMTP, Tftp and Asset recovery components
• Knowledge of Telnet, Tftp, SMTP protocol is a must • Knowledge of administrative tasks is a must.

For Web UI, Wizard components
• Familiar with basics of building web page is a must • Knowledge of CSS, HTML/XHTLM, JavaScript is preferred • Knowledge of different web browsers (IE, Netscape) is preferred.

Role: • Debug, analyze and fix customer issues related to the device management components in Screen OS (admin, telnet, Tftp, smtp, web, UI, wizard etc) • Provide tools and test scripts to assist development effort and improve quality of code.

NSM Development: • BE/ MCA/M.Tech 3+ years commercial development experience • Strong background in C/C++/Java programming • Good understanding of OOP design principles • Familiarity with Networking • Experience in building multi-tier applications; SQL & database management systems and/or hierarchical database systems; XML • Familiarity with security networks; background in building Management Software for network or network security systems will be an advantage.

Role: • Enhance current back-end device configurator to support IDS device capabilities • Enhance current policy configuration functionality with new rule basis for IDP (Intrusion Detection & Prevention), Network Honey Post & Backdoor Detection • Interface with Network Security group for policy compilation requirements.

Testing

NMS/ Application Testing: (Test Network/ Security Management (NSM) Systems) • BE in CS required with min. 3-6 years' experience with testing network management S/W applications • Knowledge of UNIX/ LINUX OS administration & troubleshooting • Knowledge of TCP/IP, SNMP, high availability routers, switches and testing tools • Experience in device testing • Experience in security products (Firewall/ VPN & IDS) preferred.

Device Testing

Automation: • Shell and Perl Programming experience and at least 2 years experience in Tcl/Expert • Strong TCP/IP Networking knowledge • Automation knowledge on Winrunner, Loadrunner would be a plus

Manual Testing: • Good knowledge of UNIX operating system administration and trouble shooting skills is a must • Knowledge of TCP/IP,. SNMP, high availability routers, switches and testing tools • Experience on CLI with hands-on security products like firewall/ VPN and IDS preferred.

Role: • Perform scalability, performance & capacity testing • Help reproduce defects by simulating customer's environment • Perform 'Black Box' testing for products, and 'back end' testing for application management server • Develop & execute product test cases, test suites & test plans • Analyze & write test standards & procedures • Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging & modification of S/W • Analyze test results, ensuring existing functionality & recommending corrective action • Consult with development engineers to assist in problem resolution • Review technical documents & manuals • Assist other team members in debugging technical issues • Provide further level customer support (including e-customer environment simulation, reproducing the problem, working closely with development engineers & the product manager to ensure resolution of problem)
