Design Center Director:
Code: DCD/HW. (10 to 15 years exp): You will report to the VP of Engineering, You will set up the process, methodology and systems in place to grow and develop our Bangalore office into full fledge design site. Further, you will head a team of highly knowledgeable and multi-talented ASIC engineers, providing them with challenging assignments. You will oversee several project leads and teams working closely with design directors in our US offices. You will be responsible for instilling and propagating the nVIDIA culture, and setting the standard for excellence. You will also be responsible for identifying, recruiting and hiring the best engineers both from University campuses and also from the industry. You will represent nVIDIA at industry and other appropriate forums.

Major responsibilities will include. • Day to day functions of Bangalore office. • Set culture. • Recruit, hire and retain the best ASIC engineers. • Plan resource needs of projects and appropriately assign team members to tasks. • Schedule projects, make realistic estimates of outcomes and work to make projects timely and successful.

Minimum 5 years experience at a Director Level. Proven track record of managing complex chip designs from concept through to production. Must be familiar with all stages in the design flow (from architecture to FCS) including the specification and use of analog and mixed signal macrocells, ballout planning, emulation, prototyping, DFT, timing analysis (including Prime Time scripting), floor-planning, ECO, bring-up, ATE test development, and customer support. Should be comfortable with general Unix tools such as Perl and Make. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must. 5-10 years of experience in a high quality chip design company in US is highly desirable.

ASIC Project Lead/ Manager:
Code: APLM/HW. (7 to 12 years exp): With at least 2 years experience in a project lead or manager role, you will have a team of 10-15 senior and junior engineers.

Must be "Hands on" and have significant experience in architecture definition, VHD/Verilog coding, IP integration, Design Verification, Chip Emulation, Synthesis, Timing Closure and Bring-up. Must possess the ability to lead and mentor staff in terms of task assignments, project tracking, technical development, etc. You will also be expected to contribute to creating or enhancing design and verification methodologies.

Senior ASIC Designer:
Code: SAD/HW. (5 to 10 years exp): in addition to having complex high speed ASIC design experience, you will be required to mentor and guide more junior engineers. Previous design experience in a project leadership role is a plus.

ASIC Design Engineer:
Code: ADE/HW. (1 to 3 years exp): Responsible for architecture and micro- architecture design of the ASICs,RTL design and synthesis, Logic and Timing verification using leading edge CAD tools and Semiconductor process technologies.

Common responsibilities and requirements for Engineer and Lead level positions: Experience with Digital systems and VLSI design, Computer Architecture, Computer Arithmetic, C/C++ programming languages, CMOS transistors and circuits is required. Good communications skills and ability and desire to work as a team player are a must. You will work side by side with nVIDIA engineers around the world, as an equal member of a multisite project team.

System Software Engineer:
Code: SSE/SW. (2 to 6 years): Systems Software Engineers support nVIDIA's high performance chipset business. They are generalists, with a deep understanding of today's PC architecture, including bus protocols such as PCI, AGP, USB and 1394, and CPU booting, arbitration and cache management protocols. System engineers program down to the metal, and are comfortable around hardware specs. They write software for Networking, Audio IDE, SMBus and other hardware, and implement support for modem PC standards such as ACPI and OnNow.

Solid engineering background and understanding of good code methodology is essential. You should have strong C programming skills with assembly experience and have shown initiative in pursing independent coding projects. Experience in developing device drivers or other low-level software used to control graphics hardware is a must. Experience in writing code to directly control hardware is a plus. Must be able to work closely with both hardware designers as well as other software engineers to design, develop, and debug functional aspects of a graphics-based subsystem.

Video Engineer:
Code: SE/SW. (2 to 6 years): Design, implement and optimize all of the multimedia drivers for nVIDIA's processors. We work on creating the features that are used in all the latest games and multimedia applications, and we work closely with many of those app developers as they create their applications. Specific areas include kernel drivers, 2D graphics, Video, OpenGL, Direct 3D, and control panel/GUI on Windows, Macintosh and Linux. Our code is cross-platform and highly efficient, and we've shipped our software to more than 100 millions users around the world! We are looking for people who are passionate about creating leading edge multimedia and operating system software.

Some positions require strong C programming skills, C++ and/or assembly language.

Performance Analysis Engineer:
Code: PASE/SW. (2 to 6 years): You will be responsible for performance analysis and improvement of 3D graphics applications. Applications include industry standard benchmarks and third party software products.

You should have experience with graphics application development, experience and familiarity with PC development environments. Additionally, you must have an understanding of PC hardware architectures and their impact on application performance. Further experience with 3D graphics programming interfaces (Direct 3D and OpenGL) is desired.

QA Engineer:
Code: QAE/SW. (2 to 6 years): Involves testing of drivers on nVIDIA hardware to ensure functionality and compatibility. Identifies and troubleshoots issues to determine if the fault is with the specific system platform, the nVIDIA hardware or nVIDIA drivers, or the application being tested.

You must have excellent problem solving skills and in depth knowledge of PC hardware and software configuration and compatibility.

Depending on the specific QA position, knowledge of one or more of the following technologies is required: • Experienced user of Microsoft operating systems, Linux, or apple OSX, MS-WHQL test procedures • Knowledge of 3D, OpenGL, and/or DirectX technologies • Knowledge of video and/or audio PC technologies • Test knowledge of ethernet, IDE, USB, and other low-level PC hardware technologies.

Managerial positions are available for all the above functions. Typical experience range is 10-15 years.

Common qualifications: BE/Btech, ME/Mtech or PhD in computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering with a brilliant academic record premier schools like IIT/BITS Pilani/NIT is a pre-requisite.
